'Param Sundari' advance box office day 1: The Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor film expected to open at Rs 10 crore on Friday

Amidst all the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, we have a romcom releasing this Friday, August 29, in the form of 'Param Sundari'. The film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor has generated a lot of buzz. Largely, the songs of the movie, especially 'Pardesiya' and 'Bheegi Saari' have been liked by the audience as they promise the vibe of 90s with voices like Sonu Nigam, Adnan Sami and Shreya Ghoshal. Meanwhile, the opening day number of around Rs 10 crore can be expected from the movie at the moment, based on the advances. However, it's the Saturday and Sunday numbers which will play a major role. The film is expected to see a jump and for that, positive reviews will be crucial. Not to mention, at the moment, there's not much competition from any other movie at the box office. The big releases 'War 2' and 'Coolie' are now beginning to fizzle out as they complete two weeks in cinemas. Meanwhile, it's 'Mahavtar Narsimha' which is still luring the audience. But as 'Param Sundari' will release, the number of shows of 'Mahavtar Narsimha' will reduce. It clearly is an open ground now for 'Param Sundari', thus the film is expected to perform well.
