Chess: D Gukesh and R Praggnanandhaa feature alongside plenty of Indians competing at the Grand Swiss chess tournament.
Boxing: The World Championships continue with plenty of Indian boxers in action.
Hockey: India beat Malaysia 4-1 to bring up their first win of the Hockey Asia Cup Super 4s.
Football: India drew 0-0 against Afghanistan to finish second in their CAFA Nations Cup group, thus qualifying for the third-place playoff on September 08.
Football: Goa was announced as the host for India's AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Singapore.
Tennis: Yuki Bhambri entered the men's doubles semifinals of the US Open.
Kabaddi: PKL 12 saw Jaipur Pink Panthers lose 32 - 37 to Telugu Titans after which Puneri Paltan lost out to Dabang Delhi in the first Golden Raid.
Chess: Gukesh started with a win at the Grand Swiss tournament, while top seed R Praggnanandhaa managed a draw.
Boxing: Sakshi, Bartwal opened India's campaign with wins at the World Boxing Championships
Shooting: Abhay, Raiza topped the national shotgun selection trials 4 in Bhucho.
