Mrunal Thakur, a rising star in Indian cinema, is anticipating the release of Son of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn on July 25th. Known for her versatile acting, Mrunal recently shared a relatable and amusing detail about her relationship with food.
In a recent interview, Mrunal revealed her unique strategy when Puran Poli, a traditional Maharashtrian sweet flatbread, is prepared at home. She jokingly confessed to locking herself in her room to avoid succumbing to the temptation.
"The problem with me is that when I’m not following any particular diet, I don’t work out either," she explained. "I love eating so much, and I especially can’t resist Puran Poli. So when it’s made at home, I just lock myself in my room to avoid the temptation.”
Despite her love for food, Mrunal emphasizes a balanced approach to fitness. She avoids spending excessive time at the gym, opting instead for efficient and varied workout routines.
"I work out twice a day, but I don’t like being in the gym for hours. I do smart workouts and switch things up regularly because I get bored very easily,” she stated.

"I don’t want to look skinny. I want to look like a khate pite ghar ki ladki — healthy, happy, and exactly how my characters demand me to be," she added.
Looking ahead, Mrunal Thakur has several projects in the pipeline. She will soon be seen in Hai Jaawani to Ishq Hona Hai with Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde, as well as Dacoit with Adivi Sesh. Rumors also suggest she may collaborate with Siddhant Chaturvedi in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali production, a potential pairing that has already generated excitement among fans.
