In a recent interview, Aamir Khan reflected on their past interactions, including a time when they playfully teased each other, with Shah Rukh using the term "chichora". Today, their bond is a testament to how time and understanding can transform rivalry into a genuine friendship.

Early Encounters and Misunderstandings

During an interview with Lallantop, Aamir Khan shared insights into his early relationship with Shah Rukh Khan. He mentioned that they would often meet and spend time together at each other's homes. Aamir also addressed a humorous misunderstanding stemming from a Panchgani farmhouse vlog. In the vlog, he mentioned Shah Rukh licking his feet. He clarified that it was actually a dog named after Shah Rukh.

Aamir also noted Shah Rukh's penchant for joking about him, particularly regarding Aamir's consistent absence from award ceremonies. “SRK often keeps making jokes on me, every year there are award functions and I don’t go to them, but they keep making fun of me,” Aamir stated.

The "3 Idiots" Promotion and Shah Rukh's Critique

During the promotional period for "3 Idiots", Aamir Khan went to great lengths, adopting various disguises and embarking on extensive tours across the country to market the film.

At the time, Shah Rukh Khan's film, "My Name Is Khan", was also nearing its release. Commenting on Aamir's promotional strategies, Shah Rukh remarked, “I regret to use this word, but it’s a kind of ‘chichorapan’. I wouldn’t go to this extent to promote my film. There is a way to market every film, and we too will have a unique strategy to promote our film."

Aamir's Perspective on Shah Rukh's Comments

In response to Shah Rukh's remarks, Aamir thoughtfully acknowledged SRK’s sensibility. He stated, “SRK is a sensible man, if I am going to different parts of the country and he finds that chichora what can I say, that’s his opinion and I don’t agree with it.” Aamir viewed his promotional activities as a valuable experience for personal growth. He added, “For me, it was an important experience as a human being, and it will bring growth to me.”

Aamir also playfully retorted, “As far as chichorapan is concerned, Shah Rukh might know better about it because he does a lot of it in his life; he is an expert at all this.”

A Friendship Cemented: Late-Night Gatherings

Aamir shared insights into their current friendship, mentioning their frequent get-togethers. “We often make plans to catch up, and we never stop at one drink. When we sit together, it is usually till morning, 7 am, not just with Salman but with Shah Rukh too. This has happened eight to 10 times till now,” he said, underscoring the strong relationship they now enjoy.
