US President Donald Trump is set to attend the US Open men's singles final, his first appearance since 2015, the Athletic has reported on Friday.
Trumps is expected to watch the US Open 2025 men's singles final. The final will Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic play World No 1 Jannik Sinner or Canada's Felix Auger Aliassime.

Trump, who was booed by fans during his last appearance at Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, last attended the Grand Slam tournament for a quarterfinal between Serena and Venus Williams during his first presidential campaign.
After Sunday's final, he is also expected to be at Yankee Stadium on September 11 on the anniversary of the attack on the city. That night, the playoff-chasing New York Yankees host Detroit Tigers in the Bronx, one of the best teams in baseball this season.
Since winning the election in November, Trump has made his presence felt across several major sporting events, frequently appearing alongside athletes and sports executives. His first high-profile outing beyond Mar-a-Lago came at a UFC event in New York, where he arrived with future members of his administration and shared the spotlight with LIV Golf chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan and billionaire Elon Musk.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino was present at Trump’s inauguration, and the two reunited in June when Trump presented Chelsea with the FIFA Club World Cup trophy.
Their next joint appearance is expected this December, when they will oversee the World Cup draw at Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts—an institution Trump has been keen to influence.
Trump’s close ties with UFC chief Dana White have also paved the way for a special mixed martial arts card to be staged at the White House on July 4 next year, coinciding with America’s 250th Independence Day celebrations.
In addition, Trump attended Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans but departed midway through the clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
