A strong opening week still leads the way
The Hrithik Roshan starrer stormed into cinemas with a massive Rs 52 crore opening day, followed by an even stronger Friday collection of Rs 57.85 crore. By the end of the first week, War 2 had amassed Rs 204.25 crore across languages and its second week added another Rs 27 crore.
The road ahead for 'War 2'
By the third week, collections had settled into lakhs rather than crores, with day 16 bringing in just Rs 65 lakh and subsequent days hovering around the Rs 40–55 lakh range. Still, with its current total of Rs 236.20 crore, the film has comfortably cemented its place as one of the top grossers of the year.
Featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor, the Siddharth Anand directorial has delivered on its promise of large-scale spectacle, even if sustainability is now limited to single screens and select multiplexes.
