Ranbir Kapoor’s dedication and professionalism on set recently earned him high praise from producer Boney Kapoor. Boney recently revealed just how committed Ranbir is, sharing anecdotes of grueling shoots and astonishing patience that highlight why he’s considered one of the hardest-working actors in Bollywood today.
Never seen complaining on set
Speaking on Game Changers with Komal Nahta, Boney said that Ranbir is one of the rare actors he has never seen complain on set. He recalled shooting in Delhi during the summer for 16 hours straight and having to switch the schedule from day to night, from 9 PM to 6 AM, to beat the heat—yet Ranbir never uttered a word of complaint.
52 retakes and unwavering patience
The producer recalled being impressed by Ranbir Kapoor’s patience and professionalism during demanding shoots. He revealed that Ranbir went through 52 retakes for a single scene, maintaining full respect for the crew throughout. Even when Boney himself felt flustered after giving 13–14 retakes, Ranbir stayed focused, insisting that every take must meet the director’s satisfaction, making him a joy to work with.
Collaboration on Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar
The producer-actor duo collaborated on Luv Ranjan’s 2023 film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which also marked Boney’s acting debut. The film featured Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, alongside Dimple Kapadia and Anubhav Singh Bassi.
Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 film Animal. He is currently busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, starring alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, and is also shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana with Sai Pallavi and Yash.
