Pant calmly responded, "In Test cricket, maybe 80–90 minutes," referring to the measured pace of his previous centuries. Brook, undeterred, brought up his own faster century in the IPL, teasing Pant to replicate that aggression.
However, Pant refused to take the bait, replying with a composed smile: "It's okay. I'm not too greedy for records. If it happens, it happens." His response underlined his focus on the team's needs rather than personal milestones.
Pant's crucial knock of 65 from 58 deliveries included eight fours and three sixes. This entertaining innings followed his 25 in the first innings, providing vital momentum for India.
